We are still blessed with glorious spring weather !
So I took Max out for a long walk where we could find a number of fields and meadows where he can roam free and unleashed. I admired the fresh new daisies while Max was sniffing up all the odours of anything that had passed this little meadow next to the grave yard.
next came another bigger meadow (behind the grave yard) that had to be checked out for any possible message from another dog/cat/rabbit/whatever his little dogbrain finds interesting. sometimes I would like to know what goes around in his doggie-skull, because he seems to check every single grass blade :-)
About halfway our walk we passed my favourite coffee house. It's a title that's easily obtained because there is only the one here in this little place I inhabit. But truth be told : they do serve a very good variety of coffees. When we arrived there I saw they had placed some tables and chairs outside because of the warm weather, and as we arrived one table became available. I wasted no time claiming it.
Max especially likes this coffee house because he always gets a cookie when I go for a coffee. Today his cookie and his water were served by two sweet young girls - about 6 to 8 years old that were "helping" the manageress. So very careful not spill any water - really cute !
It was too warm for coffee so I ordered a rosé wine that was also quite decent.
Then we resumed our walk past the canes that were definitely past their prime and all overblown untill we came to the pond. It's not a natural pond, but hey, we can't be choosy, can we ? A couple of ducks were snoozing in the sun, until Max came along and they rushed into the water.
the canes in odd forms
and the ducks .
There is a wooden deck with benches on one side of the pond, so while Max was showing off to the ducks I sat on a bench to watch them all.
Afterwards we went through the cornfield - no corn is planted yet, so the field can be easily traversed :-) - and past another meadow/barren ground back in the general direction of home.
Max trying to devour a chunk of wood, but I think it was a bit tough.
It was a very nice walk :-D
